Dynamic Alternations in Balance: Art as a Testimony and a Tool for Dialogue on Mental Health

On 8 May 2025 at 6.00 pm, the Teatro Comunale in Atri (TE) will host the cultural event “Alternanze Dinamiche in Equilibrio”, an evening dedicated to poetry, live music, art and personal testimonies.

A unique opportunity to reflect on and discuss the topic of mental health through various forms of expression. The star of the evening will be Claudia Spielrein Guizzardi, a member of our association and a trainee volunteer at the Italian Bipolar Association, who will present her work “Sopra le righe – Cronache poetiche di una vita bipolare” (Over the Top – Poetic Chronicles of a Bipolar Life), an intense and authentic collection of poems that recount her personal experience of living with bipolar disorder.

The meeting will also be attended by experts from the Giulianova Mental Health Centre, including psychiatrist Chiara Di Natale, psychotherapist Giuseppe Ferella and psychoanalyst Demetra Di Febo.

Gabriela Stanciu, Secretary of the Executive Committee, will speak on behalf of AIBP, whilst the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted – Teramo Branch – will contribute through its representatives and member Vito Valleriani.

The evening will feature theatrical interludes by the Roseto-based theatre company “Il castello di Carte”, musical performances by Maestro Daniele Falasca, the band “Libero e zuccherino”, and the singer-songwriter Maïté from Loreto. The event will be hosted by Nancy Fazzini. Admission is free.
